Hanging signs: who can hang one and how high
A hanging sign is the easiest way to be found on a big floor, and the rules change by show and even by hall. These rules come from each show's own 2026 or 2027 rules or the LVCC facility guide, named in each rule.

What to know
- CES 2027: islands and peninsulas only
At CES 2027 in the LVCC, only island and peninsula booths of 400 sq. ft. or more may hang signs; linear and perimeter booths can't, whatever their size. The top of the sign can't pass the hall's limit: 30 feet in West, North and Central Halls 3 to 5, 20 feet in Central Halls 1 and 2, and 22 feet in South Hall.

- Over 200 lbs means a motor
CES counts a sign over 200 lbs., or one that lights up or rotates, as an electrical hanging sign that needs a chain hoist. Every hanging sign and rigging request goes to Freeman, which gives final approval after checking the attachments and structure, and hang points are limited in some areas.

Signs must sit 10 feet from neighboring booths, directly over your own space, with the bottom edge at least 14 feet and the top no more than 22 feet off the floor. Proofs and dimensions, and a digital proof for LED signs, are due 90 days before move-in.
