Leer en español

These rules come from Bellagio's convention policies and procedures (MGM Resorts). Your show's manual can add to them, and your convention services manager has the final word.

What to know

Exhibitor services are all in-house

Bellagio Exhibitor Services is exclusive for audio visual, truss and rigging, staging and lighting, electrical, telecommunications, broadband internet, cleaning, food and beverage in the showroom and booths, and computer rentals.

Cleaning is mandatory

Every area used as exhibit space must buy cleaning from Bellagio Exhibitor Services, the exclusive cleaning contractor for aisles, registration and booths. If you lay carpet over the hotel's floor you still need cleaning, and confetti, balloons or glitter add fees.

No freight before the show

The hotel doesn't receive freight before a show. Its receiving dock refuses shipments that need a forklift, shipments addressed to an exhibitor's booth (it can hand them to the show's decorator, with added handling charges) and gas cylinders.

Balloons: big, tied down or not at all

Helium balloons under 36 inches across aren't allowed, larger ones must be securely anchored and can't fly free, Mylar balloons are banned everywhere, helium cylinders can't stay overnight, and nothing may be released outdoors because of airport flight paths.

What catering really costs

Catered food and drink carry a 19% service charge (not taxed) plus a 6% administrative fee taxed at the 8.375% sales tax rate, and a chef costs $350.00. A new food event added within 72 hours of start counts as a pop-up and costs 20% more.

Late changes cost labor

Changing a room's set within 72 hours of the event costs labor if the room is already set. A quick turn must finish in under 2 hours for rooms under 40,000 sq. ft. or 3 hours for larger ones, needs approval and adds labor charges.

No routers on the hotel network

Only laptops and phones may connect to the hotel's network. Routers or other networking gear need hotel approval, can't use an SSID with the hotel's name without permission, and can be disconnected without notice or refund.

Signs need written consent

Bellagio keeps exclusive advertising rights across the property, so no signage or banners go in function space or anywhere else without the hotel's prior written consent.

Suite events: you handle the elevators

Guest room floors are key-card only, and non-guests can't reach them. If you host an event in a room or suite, arranging elevator access for your guests is your job.
