Westgate Las Vegas rules exhibitors miss

Leer en español

The Westgate sits next to the LVCC and has its own convention space. These rules come from its Catering & Conventions Policies & Procedures (rev. February 2025). Your show can add stricter rules, so read your exhibitor manual too.

What to know

Power: order it, or don't use it

GES Electrical handles all power distribution. Exhibitors can't use power unless they ordered it, booths drawing more than 20 amps combined need electrician labor, outside power sources aren't allowed, and a safety violation can cost a minimum of $300.00.

No outside food or drink

All food and beverage is provided exclusively by Westgate, and exhibitors can't bring in food or drink of any kind. Bartenders are required whenever alcohol is served.

Signs

Encore hangs anything attached to the building. Signs must be professionally made and flame retardant with an official certificate, nothing may be taped or velcroed to walls, and no signs are allowed in the lobby, casino or guest room hallways.

Floor load

Floor load limits are 150 lbs. per square foot, static weight. Heavier exhibits need special setup to spread the load, and your decorator must warn the hotel ahead of time.

Booth cleaning is on you

The hotel hands over exhibit space clean and clear, but booth cleaning is the decorator's or customer's job, and the space must be returned the same way.

Forklifts

Visqueen or carpet goes down 30 feet out from freight entrances, forklifts carry a fire extinguisher, the speed limit is 5 mph, and operators must be certified. The hotel doesn't lend lifts; Encore rents them with operators.

Vehicles on display

Displayed vehicles need the battery disconnected, less than 1/8 tank of fuel with the cap sealed or locked, and visqueen underneath, plus approval from the hotel and the Clark County Fire Marshal.

No dock at the Paradise Event Center

The Paradise Event Center loads at ground level with no dock, so bring a ramp or arrange a forklift. Heating and air conditioning run only when the freight doors are completely shut.
