Shipping boxes to your Las Vegas hotel

Leer en español

Shipping to your hotel looks cheaper than the show's advance warehouse. It often isn't: hotel business centers charge for every box coming in and going out, add storage and labor fees, and many refuse booth freight outright. Use the hotel for small personal boxes and the show contractor for everything bound for the floor.

What to know

Booth freight goes to the show contractor

Mandalay Bay sends booth shipments over 150 lbs. to the show's general service contractor. If they're shipped to the hotel instead, FedEx can't deliver them to the floor, and you pay FedEx handling fees plus the contractor's delivery fees.

Hotels refuse booth shipments

Bellagio won't accept shipments consigned to an exhibitor in a trade show booth, or shipments that need a forklift to unload. ARIA may hand trade show shipments over to the show's decorator.

Every box pays a handling fee

Hotel business centers charge per package, by weight. At New York-New York, FedEx Office charges from $7.00 for up to 1 lb to $70.00 for 100.1 to 150 lbs, and pallets or crates cost $250.00, or $0.75 per lb over 333 lbs.

Delivery to your room costs more

At Resorts World, a 1.1 to 10 lb box costs $10.00 if you pick it up and $15.00 if FedEx Office delivers it; a 100.1 to 150 lb box costs $90.00 or $110.00. Pallets and crates are $250.00, or $0.80 per lb over 312 lbs.

Storage fees

How early to ship

MGM Grand accepts business center shipments up to 7 days before your event. Other hotels set other windows (ARIA allows fourteen days, for example), so check your hotel's own guide before you ship.
