Insurance certificates for exhibitors and contractors
Venues and shows want proof of insurance before anyone builds on their floor. Your exhibitor manual sets the exact limits and names; these are the patterns and the venue rules we could source. Send your insurance agent the manual's insurance page, not a summary.

What to know
- Hiring your own contractor at the LVCC
Contractors you hire to work in your booth at the LVCC need an LVCVA exhibitor appointed contractor permit, which requires a certificate covering general and auto liability and workers' compensation. The company name on the application must exactly match the insured name on the certificate, including Inc, LLC or dba.

- LVCC contractor limits
The LVCVA's contractor form asks for $2 million general liability naming the LVCVA as additional insured and Nevada workers' compensation, with all documents in before work starts. The form we found was revised in 2018, so confirm current limits with the LVCVA.

- Mandalay Bay deadline
The organizer's certificate is due to Mandalay Bay Convention Center 30 days before the event, and it's rejected unless it names every entity the venue lists. Limits are set in the event's contract.

- Venetian Expo requirements
The Venetian's exhibitor guide has organizers require exhibitors and contractors to carry general liability, auto liability, umbrella coverage and workers' compensation, naming the Venetian entities as additional insureds. The guide is undated, so check the limits in your show's manual.

- Typical show limits
AAPEX 2026 is a typical example: $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate general liability, $1 million auto liability and Nevada workers' compensation, naming the show, the general contractor and each venue as additional insureds on a primary and non-contributory basis, with a waiver of subrogation. Your show's numbers may differ.

- When to get it
GES says most organizers want a valid certificate at least 30 days before move-in, and contractors must keep a valid one through move-in, show days and move-out.
