Handouts and decorations are where small booths get surprise fees. These rules come from each show's own 2027 rules or the LVCC facility guide, named in each rule. Your show manual has the final word.

- Hand things out from inside your booth
At CES 2027 in the LVCC, literature, samples and giveaways must be handed out from within your booth or contracted area, and surveys can't be run outside your booth either.

- CES discourages stickers
CES discourages stickers as giveaways. They aren't allowed on aisle carpet, walls, floors, CES signs or anywhere outside your exhibit space, and any sticker damage is billed to the exhibitor.

- Vision Expo 2027: nothing outside your space
Vision Expo 2027 exhibitors can't distribute literature, samples or other material outside their contracted exhibit space.

- LVCC: no helium balloon handouts
At the LVCC, show management and your convention services manager must approve balloons. Indoor helium balloons, columns and arches must be tethered, helium balloons can't be used as handouts, helium cylinders can't stay in the building overnight, and Mylar balloons are prohibited.

- PPAI Expo 2027: air-filled is fine
At PPAI Expo 2027 in Mandalay Bay, tell show management if you use balloons. Helium balloons under 36 inches across aren't allowed, but smaller air-filled balloons can be decoration or handouts. Large helium balloons must be anchored, nothing can be released outdoors because of airport flight paths, and Mylar is banned anywhere on the property.

- Confetti and glitter cost extra
PPAI Expo 2027 charges a minimum clean-up fee per occurrence when exhibitors use confetti, balloons, glitter or similar materials.

- Vision Expo 2027: no helium at all
Vision Expo 2027 at the Venetian Expo bans Mylar and helium balloons. Other balloons need approval from show management and the Venetian, must be tethered, can be no larger than 36 inches across, and need sign-off from the Venetian Expo and the Fire Marshal before move-in.

- Giveaway lighters: one day's supply
If you give away disposable lighters at the LVCC, you can keep only a one-day supply in the booth.
