Rules for exhibitors

- Trade buyers only
Buyers must be active retailers of gems, rocks, minerals or jewelry, or wholesalers of finished jewelry, and show proof of a registered business (an EIN alone isn't accepted) plus a business license or tax-exempt certificate. Manufacturers and wholesale gemstone dealers aren't admitted as buyers but can buy a special access badge.

- No children under 14, no cameras
JOGS doesn't allow children under 14, and cameras aren't permitted on the show floor. A primary contact's spouse can be admitted on request with government photo ID showing the same last name or address.

- Badges are checked onsite
Buyers can pre-register online and print badges, but every badge must still be validated and stamped at the registration desk at the show.

Las Vegas rules that apply to every show
- Fire permits
Clark County requires a fire permit for indoor trade shows with an occupant load of 300 or more. Larger shows submit a floor plan showing booths, aisles and exits, so keep your booth inside its approved footprint and your aisles clear.

- Selling on the floor
If you sell goods at a show, you collect Nevada sales tax and hand a one-time return to the promoter before you leave. Sell at more than two Nevada events in 12 months and you need your own sales tax permit.
