- Ordering early
CES says 2027 Freeman rates rise 3% over 2026 and material handling rates stay flat. Some items, such as electrical, have lower advance rates than show-site rates. The published figures are topline budgeting rates; full rates come in the exhibitor manuals.

- Union labor
Labor rules differ between LVCC, Mandalay Bay and Caesars Forum, and sometimes inside one building. Breaking them can mean fines, extra labor charges or removal. Check the labor section of your venue's CES manual before planning to set up yourself.

Las Vegas rules that apply to every show
- Fire permits
Clark County requires a fire permit for indoor trade shows with an occupant load of 300 or more. Larger shows submit a floor plan showing booths, aisles and exits, so keep your booth inside its approved footprint and your aisles clear.

- Selling on the floor
If you sell goods at a show, you collect Nevada sales tax and hand a one-time return to the promoter before you leave. Sell at more than two Nevada events in 12 months and you need your own sales tax permit.
